Originally founded in Australia in 2011 though now based in Stockholm, SUBTECH Sports is an award-winning bag company known for producing ultra-rugged and thoroughly utilitarian backpacks, bags, and other vessels. And after previously unveiling its Pro Drybag 3.0 back in August, the brand has now unveiled an even more versatile model with the SUBTECH DRYPACK.
Offering up to 38 liters of internal storage space, the DRYPACK features a thermoplastic polyurethane-coated, MOLLE webbing-lined, 600-denier nylon shell with four aircraft-grade 7075 aluminum 25mm Cobra buckle-secured compression straps that allow the bag to be tightened down to an 8-liter vessel. In addition to being equipped with splashproof YKK #8 Aquaguard zippers, a single 38mm Cobra waist buckle, and a padded laptop sleeve capable of accomodating notebooks of up to 15.6”, the DRYPACK’s 38-liter interior has been divided into four main compartments with a dozen “smart pockets.” What’s more, SUBTECH also offers a host of optional add-ons and upgrades for the DRYPACK, such as an ultra-tough CE-certified carabiner, a DRYCASE laptop sleeve, a Thermos water bottle, and a “Smart Pack System.”
The SUBTECH DRYPACK was launched on Kickstarter on November 24th and it reached its funding goal in under an hour before going on to accumulate more than a dozen times the funding of its initial target (though a full week still remains on the campaign). The SUBTECH DRYPACK is available for preorder on Kickstarter now, starting from around $180.
