No matter how popular outdoor gear gets, we all know that heritage brands are still some of the best in the game. Woolrich, for example, has well over a century of history as a trusted American outdoor label and continues to deliver reliable, truly timeless apparel. For the label’s upcoming FW24 Black Label collection, Woolrich tapped fellow American designer Todd Snyder to team up on two lines that blend modern design with heritage.

At the heart of this collection are the Heritage and Technical lines, and considering Woolrich’s 190 years of outdoor excellence, the Heritage lineup pays homage to the label with modern takes on classic designs (courtesy of Todd Snyder). Stand-outs from this part of the collection include a shearling-lined Military Trench coat, a twist on Woolrich’s Arctic Parka (worn by some of the first scientists to explore Antarctica), and more casual pieces like the monochromatic, fisherman’s sweater-inspired top. There’s no shortage of plaid, either –  a Woolrich staple and really the ultimate outdoors pattern.

As for the Technical collection, Todd Snyder is leaning on the more modern fabric used in today’s outdoor gear and embracing the futuristic look of techwear. You can see that in the full-body parkas in the collection, featuring nylon from the Olmetex mill and warm shearling lining, and the military-inspired parachute pants. Finishing off the collection, the technical offerings also include shearling-lined Alpine Boots and rugged Woolrich-branded bags. Multiple pieces from the Black Label collection were first scene on the runway at Pitti Uomo in Florence (debuted by Todd Snyder), and more were just presented at the Woolrich Showroom in Milan this past weekend on January 13th.
