Victory Sportswear is an American-bred boutique label that has been around since the early eighties. While the brand is now based in Massachusetts, Victory first got its start when a pair of brothers from Maine transformed their sheep barn into a custom shoe factory. Victory’s legacy has stuck with many, and the latest showcase of that is a joint effort with Todd Snyder, the New York designer known to show appreciation for anything remotely classic.
This new collaboration features a trio of retro-inspired running shoes, each of which is handmade in the USA. The kicks are composed of buttery smooth vegetable-tanned leather uppers and come available in three distinct colors that are sure to make your morning jog attire all the more stylish. Whether you’re looking to rock Dark Gray, Navy, or Moss, there is little room for error with any pair you choose.
The shoes sit on an uber-grippy Vibram sole that is rounded out with rubber nubs for the sake of additional traction. While this will do wonders from a performance standpoint, it also serves as a proper tribute to the running shoes of old and gives the kicks a killer retro look that goes along perfectly with their old-school construction.
Todd Snyder is no stranger to joining forces with a surfeit of sneaker brands, but this latest collection goes to show just how tapped into Americana the standout menswear designer truly is. The handsome runners courtesy of Todd Snyder and Victory Sportswear are set to drop on February 8th on the former’s website for $250.
