It seems that not a single style in fashion is safe from the clutches of streetwear’s influence right now. From sportswear to formal garments, even something as simple as Crocs can be redesigned for elevated casual style. And they have been, as a matter of fact, because Crocs has been collaborating with notable brands and celebrities since it regained public favor within the last five years or so, and the label’s recent Dylan Clog was undoubtedly a step in the streetwear direction. Satisfy, a French athletic brand that’s been one to watch since starting in 2015, also takes inspiration from the scene, making stylish and versatile sportswear. Seeing as both of these brands operate in some similar spaces, their previous collaboration on the Crocs Classic Clog (which was only two months ago) was the perfect storm and an outdoor-focused redesign of an iconic silhouette. Now, the duo is back at it again with the Satisfy x Crocs Mellow Slide, featuring a marbled colorway.
Unlike the duo’s previous collaboration, which included rugged upgrades to Crocs’ Classic Clog like pouches and an adjustable heel strap, this outdoor-inspired pair of slides seems to be focused on the colorway and style. The marbled pattern varies across each pair, providing a unique and personal look that’s complemented by Satisfy’s subtle logo in the middle of the shoe’s upper.
While we don’t have any official word on whether Satisfy has changed any of the hardware, we can take a look at Crocs’ current Mellow Slide to get a good idea of what to expect, like the soft LiteRide foam and the deep footbed built for recovery. It’s interesting to see Crocs (with the help of Satisfy) begin to offer more stylish choices, and it looks like they’re only getting started.
