Patagonia Just Developed a Sustainable Fleece Workwear Collection

Patagonia’s Workwear subline may not be as ubiquitous as Carhartt or others of that same nature, but outdoor lovers and GORP enthusiasts alike can all appreciate the sustainable label’s latest collection. The brand’s Work Fleece line is right in time for a warmer winter.

Each product in the new line is composed of a recycled blend of polyester and industrial hemp, deeming it friendly for your skin, the environment, and your wardrobe. Additionally, all pieces are Fair Trade Certified-sewn, which is no surprise to fans of the heritage brand. Starting with the simple Hemp Sweatshirt, which is available in a trio of subtle colors, it’s soft to the touch and rounded out with a trusty Snap-T pocket, paving the way for easy access to your gear. While the garment is highlighted by its eco-friendly makeup, it features a touch of spandex for a stretchy feel and fast-drying capabilities.

Next, the Hoody Sweatshirt practically offers all the same elements of its non-hooded iteration, including the three-button snap placket. However, it features a traditional kangaroo pocket instead of one on the chest. Lastly, the Hemp Sweatpants are sewn from over 10 ounces of recycled polyester and over 10% industrial hemp — in other words, they are too cozy to overlook around this time of year. Additionally, other garments in the collection aside from the fleece-crafted options include the pictured, abrasion-resistant Canvas Hooded Jacket and All Season Hemp Pants.

Patagonia Workwear’s Fleece line is available on its webshop starting from $99.
