Tom Sachs’s latest joint effort with Nike caused quite a stir upon its first release, and the New York-bred artist is here to revive it with a brand-new colorway. That’s right, folks, the General Purpose shoe will soon be available in a tonal shade of dark brown.

The collaborative set of steppers maintains the same construction as NikeCraft’s previous release. It’s based around a durable, raindrop-resistant knitted upper built for daily wear and tear, then placed atop a 3-piece molded cup sole. This bottom half consists of a sturdy rubber outsole, a gum rubber midsole, and an EVA foam core for lightweight comfort.

And while it’s a bit endearing when sneakerheads are too worried to wear shoes in an attempt to avoid scuffs, creases, and so on, it’s been refreshing to see Sachs conjure up a pair of kicks with the utilitarian purpose of what they’re actually meant for: wearing. To close, Nike claims that the shoe is “built for decay,” leaving no doubt that these were meant to be treated like no more than an average pair of Vans.

The NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe “Brown” will be available on February 7 for $110. That said, make sure to set your SNKRS notifications.
