Over the last decade (since its revival in 2014), Nike ACG has been making waves in the style space, cracking open the vault to resurrect some fan favorites and recapture that classic ‘90s outdoor aesthetic. The Nike ACG Torre Mid Waterproof boots are quintessentially old-school, and they’ve just been relaunched with some modern touches.
Taking heavy inspiration from the OG 1995 boots, this updated silhouette stays pretty faithful to the original design, built with shaggy suede and textile to give you a reliable waterproof upper. The chunky rubber outsole is also back, with a tread pattern to keep you steady on the trails, and there’s no question that these are made to take a beating (both on and off the trails). It’s also apparent that ACG has learned a lot since its relaunch and made some modern changes here that elevate the style, with some updated foam and a chunkier look.
The Nike ACG shoe drops over the last year have been a great blend of new silhouettes like the GORE-TEX-clad Mountain Fly 2 Lows, and retro picks from the vault like the Nike ACG Air Exploraids that dropped last month. And now is the perfect time to relaunch the Torre Mids, as the chunky look of the boots is very much in style at the moment.
