Nice Kicks and Reebok Revisit ‘NBA Jam’ with a Pair of Kamikaze II Lows

While the NBA 2K series has become a mainstay in modern-day households, you could argue that basketball video games peaked with the release of NBA Jam. The iconic 1990s arcade game still brings a smile to hoops fans of all ages, and Reebok is coming together with Nice Kicks to honor the game’s legacy through a pair of head-turning Kamikaze II Lows.

The reborn ’90s shoe features a deep black suede upper and 3M overlays dressed up with a static paint motif. It’s then touched up with hints of teal and purple, giving it that iconic ‘90s Charlotte Hornets look that has been all the rage lately. The shoe is embellished with an embroidered red Reebok logo at the front end and sits on a semi-translucent outsole for an icy touch.

Former NBA Jam players will be delighted to see that Shawn Kemp’s in-game attributes are printed on the sneakers’ insoles — the former Seattle Supersonic, whose signature shoe was the original Kamikaze during his prime, was pretty overpowered in-game, serving as a fan favorite to this day. Finally, the special-edition colorway is finished off with a stark black 3M tongue and Kemp’s signature at the medial heel.

In the words of NBA Jam‘s famed in-game announcer, these color-coated kicks are on fire. The Nice Kicks x Reebok Kamikaze Low II ‘Jam’ is available through Nice Kicks’ online store now for $120.
