Now that Crocs is certifiably cool and has a handful of notable collabs and runway appearances under its belt, the label is striking while the iron’s hot, coming through with new and exciting silhouettes like the Crocs Nova Trek that dropped in March, and reaching back into the vault to revive previously slept-on styles like the Quick Trail Low. Speaking of, the label has just teamed up with Marmot’s Japanese sublabel, Marmot Capital, on a collaborative pair of Quick Trail Lows clad in lavender and green.

Crocs’ Unlikely Hiker
Back in 2010, when Crocs wasn’t nearly as popular as it is today (and staring down the barrel of bankruptcy), the label released a super unique hiker that blended the label’s signature foam clog style with hiking utility, and it was honestly super ahead of its time considering the popularity of gorp-core at the moment. At the beginning of this year, Crocs finally rereleased the silhouette in black and espresso colorways (and even collaborated with Simone Rocha earlier this month), and while it’s definitely more popular now than it was 14 years ago, it’s still quite underrated compared to other silhouettes from the label.

Marmot Flair Meets Crocs Style
Of course, the shoes are made using Crocs’ in-house Croslite foam (clad in green this time around) with small drainage ports that take inspiration from the OG clog’s iconic holes, allowing water and debris to flow in and out with ease. There’s a rubber outsole on the bottom with lugs for traction while tackling the trails, and the mesh collar has been hit with a lavender color this time around. The corded closure weaves in and out of the upper instead of hiding under the mesh (with silver hardware), and the pull tabs are finished with Marmot branding. The shoes also come with an exclusive carabiner to tie it all together.
