Nike ACG has joined the ranks of Salomon and Arc’teryx as one of the cool kids on the techwear block, and continues to expand its offerings with futuristic collabs alongside fashionable contemporaries. The Comme des Garçons x Nike ACG Mountain Fly 2 Low SP is a great example, and first debuted in Paris last June during the Comme des Garçons Homme Plus Spring/Summer 2024 show (themed ‘Beyond Reality’). Now we finally have a release date for the Comme Des Garçons Homme Plus Nike ACG Mountain Fly 2 Lows, arriving in three minimalist colorways.
The big difference between this collaborative effort and the OG ACG Mountain Fly 2 Lows is definitely the more lowkey look, as the duo has done away with the big ACG branding on the side and opted for a more stripped-back approach (while maintaining the small swoosh on the ankle). Besides that, you’re getting the same reliable construction found in the original silhouette, with mesh uppers and a padded heel, collar, and tongue for support. The metal hardware also really shines with these new monochromatic colorways, giving the shoes a more futuristic look (not that the OG Mountain Fly 2 Lows didn’t look great).
As for the colorways available at launch, you can choose between the Black/White one featured here, along with Black and White. It also looks like the duo decided to rework the non-GORE-TEX version of the silhouette (judging from the product description), which is a slight disappointment as we’ll be missing out on that waterproof protection, but it doesn’t detract from the clean look at all.
The Comme Des Garçons Homme Plus Nike ACG Mountain Fly 2 Lows will be available exclusively at Dover Street Market and COMME des GARÇONS stores starting on March 22 (at 4 am Pacific time), and will go for £260 (~$330).
