Few fashion labels have as much OG status as the Italian brand C.P. Company while continuing to stay relevant and push the industry forward. They’ve been in the game for five decades now, collaborating with fellow heritage labels like Barbour, and even newer players like Palace on futuristic apparel that’s always stylish. Now, the label has teamed up with a fellow OG brand that’s been steadily upping its fashion game, Asics, on the C.P. Company x Asics Gel-Quantum 360 VIII, offering its take on the athletic silhouette.
Building off of the Asics Gel-Quantum 360 VIII, C.P. Company is borrowing design cues from urban architecture for this collaborative take on the silhouette, and hitting the upper with 5D details that mimic natural shapes found in nature. TRUSSTIC technology has also been added for more stability, along with more reinforcement in the heel with an external back counter, and the midsole has been redesigned with C.P. Company’s DIVISION SPACE for lightweight cushioning. You’re also getting FF BLAST PLUS ECO foam cushioning made with “at least 20% biomass content that’s extracted from sugarcane”. It’s finished with C.P. Company branding on the upper near the toe with a stamp and on the heel tabs around the ankle.
A big inspiration for this collab was C.P. Company’s Urban Agility concept from The Metropolis Series, which takes a lot of inspiration from modern urban landscapes. This also marks the first collab between C.P. Company and Asics, an exciting duo that complements each other super well, with C.P. Company’s futuristic design cues pairing perfectly with Asics’ Y2K-adjacent silhouettes.
