Huckberry has mastered this blend of outdoor mag and men’s lifestyle curation, and works closely with some of the best names in the game to create truly timeless gear and apparel. Recently, they hit up legendary menswear designer Aaron Levine (perhaps best known for elevating Abercrombie’s apparel and helping it shed the strip mall associations) to visit the Huckberry offices in Austin, and the result was the collaborative Trumbull line, a love letter to classic sportswear and US manufacturing.
Made in Detroit from cotton that’s grown in the States, each piece in the Trumbull lineup is washed down and garment dyed in a neutral color palette to capture that vintage sportswear look (and build quality). Leading the charge, we have the Vintage Wash Pullover Sweatshirt made with a midweight fleece and finished with a classic kangaroo pocket on the front. The Vintage Wash Quarter-Zip Sweatshirt and Crewneck Sweatshirt boast the same garment-dyed midweight fleece and come in three subdued colors (Ivory, Kelp, Vintage Black).
On top of these sweatshirts, the collection also includes a variety of other apparel, like the Vintage Wash Shirt that’s made with cotton (again, US-grown) and garment-dyed to pull off that vintage look and feel. It also has this boxy cut that’s similar to a lot of the vintage tees we’re seeing rise in popularity. The team didn’t forget about bottoms, as we have the Vintage Wash Classic Sweatpants with a relaxed fit and made with the same soft cotton fleece. The Vintage Wash Sweatshorts close out the collection and feature the same stripped-back, vintage look and fleece construction that makes the lineup such an exciting one to watch.
