Founded by Taras Kravtchouk, Tarform Inc is a New York-based electric motorcycle marque that first made headlines when it debuted its Luna electric cafe racer back in 2018. After numerous delays brought on by the pandemic, Tarform was finally able to bring its inaugural EV offering to market. And after the success of the Luna, the fledgling firm has now opted to introduce a second all-electric two-wheeler with the all-new Tarform Vera.

The Tarform Vera maintains the futuristic design language that was present on the Luna, though applies this style to a more lightweight dual-sport platform with some low-key supermoto vibes. In addition to having been engineered for both on-road and off-road riding, the Vera was also designed to be extremely accessible to new riders, with an automatic twist-and-go clutch-free transmission, an approachable 31” seat height, and a manageable curb weight of 360lbs — a figure that places it on par with other entry-level models like the Kawasaki Ninja 400 and Honda Rebel 300. Sporting a wheelbase comparable to that of a CRF250 dirt bike, the Vera’s 56″ wheelbase figure also makes it incredibly nimble — making it perfect for use in the city.  “The intention was to design something approachable and easy to zip around in the city, but also capable for some trail riding,” Kravtchouk tells HICONSUMPTION.

The entire motorcycle is constructed around a twin-spar chassis that’s been paired with a perched subframe that flows into a sleek low-profile “tank.” The framework has been outfitted with an inverted fork up front and a mono-shock-equipped rear-end. At the heart of the bike is an air-cooled electric motor making up to 55kW (73.75hp) and 120ft-lbs of torque — specs that allow the Vera to clock 0-60mph runs in 3.5 seconds and reach a freeway-friendly top speed of over 85mph. The motor draws from an 8-kWh Lithium battery pack that affords a 100-mile (city) range and can receive a complete recharge in as little as 2 hours — plus can be helped along by the Vera’s included regenerative Brembo braking hardware. This sleek scoot also comes loaded with an advanced bevy of tech including a keyless ignition, the ability to receive over-the-air updates, and a 3.4″ Retina display with 4G connectivity.

Priced starting from $16,000 — $12,000 less than the Luna — the Tarform Vera Electric Motorcycle is scheduled to begin deliveries sometime in 2025. Offered in numerous color options, the Vera is currently available for preorder requiring a deposit of just $100. Tarform is also poised to soon release a fully electric jetski known as the Raye.
