When it comes to stylish sports cars, there’s nothing wrong with wanting a little practicality. That’s what Porsche had in mind with its new Style Edition models of the entry-level 718 Boxster and 718 Cayman for the 2024 model year.
Working with the standard 718 base powertrain option, the two new 718 trim variants run on the same mid-engine 2.0L flat-fours capable of nearly 300hp, 280lb.ft of torque, a top speed of 171mph, and a 0 to 60 in just over 5 seconds with a six-speed manual transmission. Entry-level, indeed.
Despite the deceptively impressive specs, the selling point here is the literal style of the vehicles, available in both ruby and blue-gray colors. Both Style Editions come with black sports tailpipes, high-gloss Porsche scripts in the back, and black leather interiors. If you opt for the ruby colorway, you’ll get contrasting white details, such as white rims and decorative stripes. Meanwhile, the blue-gray livery while comes with high-gloss black rims and black stripes.
No price has been announced by Porsche, but expect to see both the 718 Cayman and 718 Boxster Style Editions rolling out in summer of 2023.
