Beginning as a maintenance yard for Riva yachts in 1954 — the first in the Mediterranean Sea area — OTAM has always prioritized materials and craft among all else, which translated well when the Italian company began its own custom range in 2014.
OTAM recently gave a makeover to its flagship 58 GTS model with a semi-open deckhouse, which has the benefits of an open top, but with the protection of a hard top. The revamped Kevlar exterior also allows the boat to be more aerodynamic, reaching a cruising speed of over 32 knots at around 2.6 gallons per nautical mile, with a top speed of upwards of 38 knots.
At 58ft long, the GTS yacht runs on one of three different engines, the most capable of which is a twin MTU with 1,830hp paired to ASD14 surface drives. This configuration provides a top speed of more than 56 knots with a cruise at 44 knots. Plenty of unique touches come equipped in the cockpit and on the bridge, including a fiberglass dashboard with fiber optic lighting and plenty of other resin material given to the hull for protection against choppy open waters. The living space consists of two double cabins, a single cabin, and a galley.
Like all of OTAM’s boats, the 58 GTS Open gives the buyer full customization. Head over to the company’s website to inquire about pricing.
