Lucid’s Upcoming Project Gravity SUV Could Offer 500+ Miles Per Charge

Lucid Motors made major ripples in the auto industry since churning out their jaw-dropping Lucid Air and for good reason. The California-based electric vehicle manufacturers made a brand-new electric vehicle with over 450 miles of range and a lucky 1,111 horsepower. Now they are seeking to take it to another level, with their newest crossover concept, the Lucid Gravity, an entirely new spin on the luxury SUV, recently announced to arrive in two years.

Akin to their sedan, Lucid should have a range of over 400 miles, which are unprecedented numbers as far as any SUV of its class is concerned — although the final number could be even higher. It also boasts a 1,080 horsepower powertrain, making that the highest of its class, as well. Though merely a concept, these numbers are something to behold. Practically built for the longest of trips, it also offers an interior entirely maximized for space’s sake, providing enough room to fit up to seven full-size passengers. With an innumerable amount of electric SUVs being pushed out onto the market in the past year, Lucid’s Vice President of Design, Derek Jenkins, seeks for their new model to compete with modern, upscale SUVs along the lines of Mercedes Benz’s GLS and BMW’s X7, as they really should have been expecting no less than such. With its spaceship-like design, there’s no surprise that those “Tesla vs. Lucid” articles have been popping up like toast in the morning.

As said, the latest from these Silicon Valley speedsters won’t be arriving until 2023. However, those who are interested in potentially getting on the waitlist for the Lucid Gravity (or simply learning more about it), can do so on their website.
