We’re used to seeing some pretty absurd builds from INKAS, the automotive customization outfit known for making bombproof armored versions of luxury cars and SUVs. But we’re not sure if we’ve ever seen them create anything quite as opulent as the company’s new Armored Cadillac Escalade Chairman VIP Edition.
INKAS has taken Caddy’s flagship luxury SUV and given it the expected armored treatment, with a BR6-level capable of withstanding 7.62mm assault rifle rounds and two DM51 hand grenade explosions thanks to its reinforced critical structure points, multilayer bullet-resistant glass, and other modifications. But that’s all to be expected from INKAS. Where the Chairman VIP really blows us away is its interior.
The inside of this luxury SUV doesn’t resemble the interior of any roadgoing vehicle we’ve ever seen, and more closely resembles the cabin of a private jet. It’s outfitted with temperature-controlled, massaging captains chairs with custom pattern stitching, powered foldaway tables and jump seats, a 19-speaker sound system, and ambient lighting combined with brilliant displays to create a custom environment. Its ceiling has also been raised 5” to provide more headroom, and there’s an automated driver partition that doubles as a hidden TV. There’s also a completely reimagined vehicle control system that allows passengers to completely and easily tailor the environment to their liking.
