Just like how the annual SEMA Show in Vegas plays host to some of the world’s most radical automotive concepts, the EICMA Show in Milan each year is responsible for hosting some of the most impressive and noteworthy motorcycle concepts. And while there was no shortage of incredible factory-backed concepts at EICMA this year, one of our favorites was unquestionably Honda’s futuristic-looking EV Fun Concept.

The Basics

The Honda EV Fun Concept is a sleek-looking factory-built concept that offers a look into the marque’s upcoming electric motorcycle models. This naked motorcycle was engineered to be a modern-day commuter, while still retaining some decent performance capabilities.

The Powertrain

Honda has been pretty tight-lipped thus far about the powertrain that’s at the heart of its latest concept, though we know that it’s fully-electric, and it seemingly utilizes a mid-mounted motor. That electric motor draws from a large battery that’s located where a motorcycle’s engine would normally be found. This battery pack is also said to deliver a range of around 300 kilometers (or 186 miles) per charge.

Ultra-Sleek Styling

The EV Fun Concept is best-described as a futuristic version of Honda’s existing CB500F. This naked sport bike concept features a sleek streetfighter-style headlight unit that flows into a faux tank cover and then a waspish tail section capping off a minimalistic subframe. Just behind its upside-down fork is a set of integrated aerodynamic winglets as well.

Running Gear

Though Honda hasn’t cited any specifics on the concept’s hardware or componentry, from looking at images of the EV Fun Concept, we can see that the motorcycle has an inverted fork paired with a mono-shock-equipped single-sided swing-arm. Riding on five-arm split-spoke forged wheels, the bike also boasts a twin-disc braking setup out front and a single smaller disc out back.
