For those interested in purchasing some of the most capable high-performance turnkey off-road trucks, Hennessey Performance Engineering has long been a go-to choice with its wide range of go-anywhere rigs. And while thus far Hennessey has only dealt in four and six-wheeled machines, the company is now changing this reality with the release of the new Hennessey VelociRaptor 600 Sherco Edition — a tuned and modified Ford F-150 Raptor that comes loaded with a set of upgraded Sherco dual-sport bikes.
Starting with the truck, HPE has taken the F-150 Raptor and treated its twin-turbocharged 3.5-liter V6 to enhanced air induction, a high-capacity intercooler with a blow-off valve, and an upgraded engine-management system — modifications that result in an output of 558hp and 672ft-lbs of torque. From there, the VelociRaptor 600 also gains front and rear VelociRaptor bumpers with integrated LED lights, 20” Hennessey wheels shod in 37” off-road tires, a suspension leveling kit, and optional over-sized six-pot Brembo front brakes. The entire rig is also backed by a comprehensive 3-year / 36,000-mile factory warranty.
Born out of a collaboration between Hennessey and French motorcycle marque Sherco, the VelociRaptor 600 Sherco Edition is offered with the buyer’s choice of either a pair of two-stroke 300 SE enduro motorcycles or two four-stroke 300 SEF models — the former of which have been treated to Factory Exhaust System mufflers and upgraded compression heads, while the latter have been fitted with upgraded Race Tech heads and full Akrapovič exhaust systems. Equipped with KYB suspension, both the SE and SEF bikes have also received upgraded radiators set behind alloy grilles, BulletProof Designs rear rotor guards, AXP Racing skid plates, enduros grips, S3 perch clamps, Galfer brakes, Selle dalla Valle seat covers, and spoked Excel Takasago rims wrapped in Dunlop knobbies. Lastly, the VelociRaptor 600 has also been outfitted with a Risk Racing bed rack for safely and securely transporting the bikes both on and off-road, as well as a five-gallon fuel jug and an accompanying mount.
