Since Bob Fox started building suspension components in 1978, FOX Factory has understood that performance comes strictly from engineering precision. The company’s journey from motorcycle shocks to custom vehicle upfitting — accelerated by strategic acquisitions of Tuscany Motor Company and SCA Performance Group — positioned them as the largest custom vehicle builder in the industry. Now, on Veterans Day 2025, FOX Factory Vehicles debuts the Wrangler Commando, a 250-unit tribute that honors both Jeep’s military roots and the men and women who serve.

Race-Bred Capability
The foundation here is the Rubicon 392’s 6.4-liter HEMI V8, pumping out 470hp and 470lb.ft of torque through an eight-speed automatic. But where FOX Factory Vehicles separates itself from the aftermarket crowd is the suspension work. The JKS 3.5-inch lift pairs with FOX’s own 3.0 internal bypass shocks featuring remote reservoirs — the same tech that’s proven itself in desert racing. Add a FOX ATS steering stabilizer and you’ve got a setup perfect for heading across broken terrain.
Those wanting more can opt for the Whipple supercharger upgrade, which cranks output to 705hp and 655lb.ft of torque for an additional $11,495. There’s also a Magnaflow exhaust system with black tips available at $3,395.

Big Willys Style
The exterior treatment pays homage to the original Willys MB with ’41 Green paint, complemented by color-matched tube doors and high-top steel fenders that provide clearance for the 37-inch Nitto Ridge Grappler tires. These sit on 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels finished in Ivory White, ensuring tire integrity when you drop pressures for sand or rock crawling.
Up front, the Mopar stubby steel bumper integrates a grille guard with dual five-inch LED lights, and there’s an optional Warn winch ($3,395) for recovery situations. The spare tire gets relocated inside to a custom rack with an integrated accessory panel — practical for weight distribution and gear storage. Meanwhile, the Bestop Bimini top with composite halo offers just enough weather protection without ruining the open-air experience that defines the Wrangler.

Inside, tan leather seats feature embroidered Commando stitching, a dashboard-mounted multi-accessory rail keeps essentials close by, and a digital rearview mirror addresses potential visibility issues when you’ve got the top off and doors removed.

Built For The Few
Of the 250 Commandos being built, 249 are reserved exclusively for active military members and veterans through an application process. The remaining unit goes to public auction during Military Appreciation Month, with all proceeds benefiting the USO.
