Based out of Danville, California, Jason Scherer is one of the most successful off-road racers in recent history, with three Ultra4 National Championship titles to his name plus a trio of outright wins at the infamous King of the Hammers in 2009, 2018, and 2019. Harnessing his ample experience with hardcore crawlers and off-road rigs, Scherer has now partnered with Fox Factory to deliver an immensely off-road-capable — yet still daily driveable— truck dubbed the King of the Hammers Edition Bronco.

Borrowing components and systems developed for Ultra4 Class racing, the KOH Bronco features an enormous slew of off-road upgrades including an onboard ABR air compressor, proprietary rock sliders, full MetalCloak underbody skid plate armor, white rock lights, a custom powder-coated rear bumper with a tire carrier, and a powder-coated Rage4th high-clearance front bumper with an integrated WARN winch and Nacho TM5 lights. On top of sporting custom fender badges, the exterior of the vehicle has also been adorned in a custom KOH Edition graphics package. The interior has also been treated to numerous revisions including KOH Edition seat covers and controls and switches for the rig’s added lighting elements.

The biggest change to the donor truck is the KOH Edition’s suspension. Custom developed and tuned by Scherer, this setup features a 4” BDS PE coilover system and FOX Performance Elite 2.5 Series shocks that are derived from the Ultra4 4600 class Broncos that recently competed at the King of the Hammers. The Bronco also rides on a set of satin gray-finished 18” Vision Ojo wheels with Tire Lock tech and 37” BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain KM3 tires. Opening up space for the KOH Bronco’s larger wheels and tires and increased suspension travel are a set of full carbon fiber fender flares at all four corners. Sold with an individually-numbered dash badge and an included KOH-branded leather tool roll, the KOH Bronco also comes backed by a 3-year / 36,000-mile warranty.
