It seems like BRABUS has done nothing but level up its game with each new release. Back in 2020, the German outfit, known for everything from exposed carbon motorbikes to military watches to suped-up G-Wagens, unveiled its ultra-powerful superboat with the Shadow 900 — a 900-hp seafaring vehicle capable of 55 knots (~63mph). And in that time, the firm hasn’t slowed down a bit, with a myriad of options such as the Black Ops and Deep Blue editions. However, you can forget all of that because BRABUS just debuted its most powerful Shadow boat ever with the Shadow 1200 XC Cross Cabin Black Ops Signature Edition.
As the name implies, the Shadow 1200 is capable of 1,200hp and 102 knots (~118mph) thanks to a trio of 5.7L V10 Mercury Racing engines putting out 400hp each, giving you the sensation of driving a grand tourer on the water. At 45ft long and 17,637lbs, the new superboat is also the biggest Shadow ever built by BRABUS, making its speed capabilities all the more impressive. Like other Black Ops editions, the 1200 gets the fabulous Graphite Black paint job on the exterior, with Signature Style graphics on the exterior and black chrome badges on the hull.
As for the inside, you get more Graphite Black on the leather upholstery with BRABUS’ signature piping and stitching, carbon fiber detailing in the front cabin, and carbon fiber backrests for the front seats. The driving experience is just as luxurious, with an infotainment media wall, a wetbar, and electric and barbecue grills. It’s also loaded with marine technology such as the Simrad navigational touchscreen displays and Mercury’s JPO (Joystick Piloting for Outboards) joystick steering, which includes Skyhook and Mercury autopilot features.
