BAAK’s Latest Build Is a Ruggedized Royal Enfield-Based Trail Bike

Since being founded in 2012, BAAK Motocyclettes has spent the last decade building a name for itself with an ever-growing range of moto-focused products and services. Alongside churning out bespoke bike builds, custom aftermarket parts, and an apparel line, the French firm — which now boasts locations in Lyon and Los Angeles — more recently introduced BAAK Aventures, an organized off-road motorcycle camping experience created in collaboration with Vintage Rides.

In order to offer this two-wheeled experience, BAAK has built out a fleet of ruggedized Royal Enfield 650 Interceptors for participants to use. And, in addition to offering these trail-ready bikes as rentals for the BAAK Aventures program, the shop is also building and selling its Enfield-based scrambler to the general public, while also offering the collection of parts as a bolt-on kit, or individually as a la cart items. Now riding on a more off-road-ready spoked wheel set with a 19” front hoop and a 17” rear wheel shod in knobby Michelin Anakee Wild tires, BAAK’s Trail bike has been treated to Daytona instrumentation set on a custom bracket, an aluminum sump guard, a new scrambler-style seat, circular mirrors, indicator relocation brackets, crash bars, dual exhaust silencers, rubber tank pads, a side-by-side headlight setup, longer travel 2WIN rear shocks, hand-formed stainless steel fenders front and aft, and new tracker bars set in custom clamps and wrapped in Biltwell grips,

The custom components that comprise the transformative kit start at just $18, while the full list of parts costs around $3,000 and is offered as either a DIY kit or as a complete turnkey motorcycle. The BAAK Aventures start at $1,125 for the three-day experience and $2,897 for the six-day (both of which include accommodation, support vehicle services, and gourmet meals for the entire trip).
