Jeep’s Twelve 4 Twelve series continues to deliver surprises, and February’s drop might be the most compelling yet. After kicking things off with the Moab 392 back in November and following up with the Whitecap and 85th Anniversary Edition, the brand is now introducing the 2026 Wrangler Willys 392. Paying homage to the iconic Willys MB from 1941, this modern iteration is equipped with the kind of V8 power that would’ve made WWII engineers’ jaws drop.

Old-School Soul, Modern Muscle
The Willys name carries weight in Jeep history — it’s the surname of the company that built over 360,000 MB Jeeps during World War II and then pioneered the civilian 4×4 market with the CJ-2A Universal in 1945. This latest iteration honors that lineage with period-correct design touches like blocky “Willys” hood decals and heritage 4WD rear graphics that recall military spec sheets. But underneath the throwback aesthetic sits Jeep’s 6.4-liter Hemi V8, churning out 470hp and 470 lb-ft of torque through a two-mode dual exhaust system. There’s even a cold air intake hood with water separator to keep the Hemi breathing clean even when you’re kicking up dust.
The hardware backing up that V8 is serious stuff. Third-generation Dana 44 heavy-duty axles front and rear, a Tru-Lok electronic locking rear differential, and a Selec-Trac full-time transfer case deliver the power. 35-inch BF Goodrich KO2 tires get wrapped around 17-inch beadlock-capable wheels to provide 11.1″ of ground clearance with a 4.56 axle ratio. Rock rails, a winch-capable steel front bumper, and a matching rear bumper round out the off-road equipment.

A New Color and Refined Interior
Jeep’s introducing a fresh exterior option called Goldilocks — a rich, heritage-inspired yellow color that stands out from the usual Wrangler palette. Inside, the Willys 392 gets Nappa leather heated power front seats, a welcome upgrade from the vinyl-and-canvas simplicity of its namesake ancestor. The vehicle also gets an Alpine nine-speaker audio system with a 552-watt amplifier and subwoofer, and a 12.3-inch touchscreen display. Four programmable auxiliary switches let you customize accessories, and the Trailer Tow Package comes standard.
