When Porsche first debuted its production-ready Taycan EV back in 2019, a great many of the marque’s followers were concerned with whether or not this all-electric model would retain the spirited performance capabilities of Porsche’s gas-powered vehicles. While the first few model years of the Taycan largely did away with these concerns, the latest iteration of the fully-electric saloon puts any lingering doubts to rest, as the Stuttgart firm’s newest model year isn’t just the quickest and most powerful Taycan to date, it’s the quickest and most powerful production model Porsche, ever.

Despite resembling your average luxury EV, the 2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT features what can only be described as supercar-grade performance capabilities, with a fully-electric powertrain that cranks out a massive 760kw (1,019hp) and 988ft-lbs of torque, allowing it to clock 0-60mph runs in just 2.2 seconds and reach a very respectable top speed of 180mph. Benefitting from the use of a new pulse inverter, the powertrain also boasts a special Attack Mode that’s able to deliver an extra 160hp boost — all of which is sent to the Taycan Turbo GT’s advanced all-wheel drive system and helped along by Porsche Torque Vectoring tech. The powertrain draws from a battery using 800-volt architecture with a charging output of up to 320kw. In addition to sporting a lightning-fast 18-minute charge time, the 33-module cell also affords a range of around 340 miles per charge. Also included is an adaptive air suspension setup with Porsche Active Suspension Management tech, plus a revised aero kit.

As Porsche’s quickest and most powerful production model to date, the 2025 Taycan Turbo GT is objectively a wildly impressive car, however, for Porsche’s must discerning — and adrenaline-obsessed — cliental, the German firm is also offering the new Turbo GT-spec with an available Weissach Package. Adorned in an even more extreme full aero kit complete with a fixed rear wing, this record-setting EV sees various steel components replaced with aluminum and carbon fiber items, plus features a rear seat delete for even more weight savings — modifications that ultimately allow the Weissach Package-equipped variant to tip the scales at nearly 140lbs less than the standard Taycan Turbo (4,925lbs vs 5,090lbs). These changes collectively allow for even more remarkable on-track performance figures in the form of an even-quicker 0-60mph time of just 2.1 seconds, and an even greater top speed of 190mph. In a bid to demonstrate the Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package’s capabilities, the new model was used to achieve new last records at both Laguna Seca Record and the Nürburgring.

Available for order now, the 2025 Porsche Taycan Turbo GT and Taycan Turbo GT with Weissach Package have both been priced starting from $230,000.
