Revived in 2020 after a nearly-quarter-century hiatus, the Ford Bronco features a design that leaves no doubt as to its heavy retro inspiration. As such, it’s frankly unsurprising that the Blue Oval has leaned into the new Bronco’s vintage vibes via the release of numerous special retro-themed variants such as the Heritage Edition. And after rolling out a ‘70s-inspired Free Wheeling appearance package for the Bronco Sport last July, the Michigan marque has now bestowed the same treatment onto the non-Sport-spec with the new 2025 Ford Bronco Free Wheeling Appearance Package.
The Inspiration
The Bronco Free Wheeling Package is directly inspired by the graphics kit of the same name that was offered on various models in the late ‘70s including the F-150, Econoline van, and, you guessed it, the Bronco. Just like the Free Wheeling models from half-a-century-ago, the new Free Wheeling Appearance Pack features a special sunset-inspired red, orange, and yellow gradient stripe livery.
Wheels & Trim
While the most noteworthy — and most visually-obvious — element of the new Free Wheeling Package is undoubtedly its gradient stripe livery, Ford has also bestowed this new Bronco kit with a myriad of additional Package-exclusive details like black-finished mirror caps, black bumpers, black hood tie-downs, and grille surrounds. The entire vehicle also rides on a special set of retro-inspired 17-inch black steel wheels with red-painted perimeter detailing.
A Free Wheeling Interior
The Free Wheeling Appearance Package doesn’t just consist of exterior features and tweaks, and also includes its fair share of model-exclusive details on the inside of the SUV. The upper portion of the seats — which are trimmed in a combination of marine-grade vinyl and fabric upholstery — sport the same gradient stripe pattern as the livery, and come complemented via red and orange accent stitching, red and orange pin striping on the dash, and a host of small red-finished touches such as a Bronco script on the dash, the tabs to adjust the vents, and accents on the grab handles.
Straight From The Horse’s Mouth
“Bronco has always been about fun and capability since day one and Free Wheeling’s looks kick that up a notch with its sunset inspired beach vibes,” relays Ford’s Vehicle Personalization chief designer, Steve Gilmore. “We’ve modernized the new Bronco Free Wheeling in line with today’s fashion and graphic trends, including seats that mimic the color palette of the exterior stripes and unique pops of color that come together in an optimistic way.”

The 2025 Bronco Free Wheeling Appearance Package is available as an optional add-on for the Big Bend trim Bronco. While pricing has yet to be revealed, Ford has stated that this appearance pack will be available starting in January of 2025. In the meantime, Ford has also released a Free Wheeling merchandise line to go with the Appearance Pack that sports the same sunset-inspired gradient color scheme.
