A four-door Porsche sedan with 911 styling wasn’t exactly met with universal acclaim upon its debut in 2009. But the luxury car, dubbed the Panamera, has sustained its life amidst the Stuttgart firm’s lineup ever since. Now into its third generation, the nameplate unveiled its 2024 models last November. It consisted of the base model and Panamera 4 — both of which have V6 engines — as well as a range-topping Turbo E-Hybrid edition. To balance the low and high end of the range, Porsche now adds to the lineup with hybrid versions of the V6 Pan 4.

While the standard Turbo E-Hybrid is powered by a 139.4kW electric motor combined with a twin-turbocharged 4.0-liter V8 engine, the new models — the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and Panamera 4S E-Hybrid — retain their 2.9-liter V6 engines. However, for the 4 E-Hybrid, that output will be slightly lower here (300hp versus 348hp on the non-hybrid versions). But paired with the electric motor, the powertrain will achieve 463hp and 479lb.ft of torque in total with a 0-to-60 of 3.9 seconds — numbers that improve upon the outgoing model.

If that’s not enough for you, the 4S E-Hybrid will optimize the engine for all 348hp, adding to the electric motor for a total of 536hp and 553lb.ft of torque with a 3.5-second 0-to-60 time. The vehicle’s 180-mph top speed is also higher than the regular 4 E-Hybrid. Sporting a 21.8kWh capacity, the electric motor will get you 30 miles of full-electric range, after which it will switch to Hybrid Auto mode, utilizing driving behavior and navigation to optimize gas and electric power. The battery then powers up again in around 2.5 hours with the on-board AC charger.

Obviously more expensive than the non-hybrid Panamera 4 ($101,550), the 4 E-Hybrid has an MSRP of $117,495 and the 4S E-Hybrid has an MSRP of $128,795. Head over to Porsche’s website to place an order starting this March. Deliveries are expected for the fall.
