Aprilia’s 365LB, 230-HP RSV4 XTrenta Is Its Most Extreme Superbike Ever

First released in 2009 as the successor to the RSV1000R, the Aprilia RSV4 is the Italian firm’s current flagship superbike. In 2019, Aprilia marked the 10th anniversary of the RSV4 — along with the multiple WSBK titles it’s achieved — via a limited edition run of ten ultra-high-performance track-only model variants known simply as the RSV4 X. And after all ten units quickly sold out, the Noale firm has now announced another insanely-top-shelf version of the V4-powered superbike, this time celebrating the 30th anniversary of its first Grand Prix World title in 1992.

Christened the RSV4 XTrenta — Italian for “X Thirty” — this limited-edition superbike is handbuilt by Aprilia Racing’s Factory Works program and hugely benefits from numerous components and technologies derived from the company’s current RS-GP MotoGP racer. Touted by Aprilia as being the “most extreme, performing, and exclusive RSV4 ever,” the RSV4 XTrenta is powered by a heavily-modified 1,099cc V4 engine that’s been treated to high-flow MotoGP-spec Sprint filters, a Taleo Tecnoracing race radiator, a Magneti Marelli ECU, and a full-titanium SC-Project exhaust with a titanium and carbon fiber silencer — a setup that’s good for a whopping 230hp.

The RSV4 XTrenta comes adorned in all carbon fiber bodywork courtesy of PAN Compositi — the same outfit that produces the bodywork for Aprilia’s MotoGP bikes. Reducing drag by 4% while bolstering downforce by 25%, the bodywork also boasts a full aero kit with integrated front winglets and the first swing arm-mounted “under-wing” ever to be sold on a publically-available motorcycle. The XTrenta-spec RSV4 also comes cloaked in a replica livery of Lorenzo Savadori’s RS-GP racer from this year’s Austrian GP — a paint scheme that itself is a throwback to Aprilia’s 1992 season 125 class racer. Weighing in at just 365lbs, the RSV4 Xtrenta also comes equipped with Marchesini M7R GENESI forged magnesium rims shod in Pirelli Diablo SBK slicks, Brembo Monobloc calipers, and a custom set of Ohlins suspension that’s been modified and tuned by Aprilia’s MotoGP technicians. Other highlights include a rear-sets, levers, and a fuel cap from Spider Racing.

Limited to just 100 units worldwide, the 2023 Aprilia RSV4 XTrenta Limited Edition Track-Only Superbike is available for order now, with pricing set at €50,000 (~ $49,500). Alongside the bike itself, buyers will also receive a special race shop matt and motorcycle cover, plus will have the option of picking up their RSV4 XTrenta at the Aprilia Racing headquarters in Italy.
