Even in the base model’s stock form, the new Ford Bronco offers fairly impressive off-roading capabilities. Wanting to amplify this trait without sacrificing on luxury or creature comforts, the Blue Oval has now debuted the new limited-edition 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades.
Inspired by Florida’s tropical wetlands region, the Bronco Everglades comes equipped with a host of factory-installed accessories and upgrades that turn the SUV into a more trail and swamp-ready machine. This includes a class-exclusive signature snorkel that was designed and engineered by Ford and features a quick-swap, reversible air vent that allows drivers to change the direction of the inlet based on weather and trail conditions. There’s also a Ford Performance heavy-duty modular front bumper with an integrated ZEON 10-S WARN winch rated at 10,000lbs. Furthermore, the Everglades-spec Bronco comes loaded with Ford’s Sasquatch Package as standard. As such, the American-made SUV is equipped with rear-locking differentials, a 4.7 final drive ratio with electronic-locking front and rear axles, high-clearance suspension, and high-clearance fender flares to accommodate the package’s 17” bead-lock-capable wheels shod in 35” all-terrain tires.
Inside, the car gets marine-grade vinyl seats, rubberized washout flooring, an Urban Green-accented trim package adorning the cabin’s grab handles, seat stitching, and air vents, and a class-exclusive 12” SYNC 4 display. At the heart of the Bronco is Ford’s s 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine that’s good for 300hp and 325ft-lbs of torque — giving it the most torque from any four-cylinder engine in its class. The engine is also mated to a ten-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with an advanced 4×4 system and an impressive maximum crawl ratio of 67.8:1. Unique graphics with Everglades topography on the front quarter fenders complete this special-edition package while paying homage to the model variant’s namesake.
Offered in five exterior color options including an Everglades-exclusive low-volume Desert Sand livery, the 2022 Ford Bronco Everglades Special Edition will be available for order starting this March, with first rights going to existing Bronco reservation holders. Pricing for the Ford Bronco Everglades will start at $53,000.
