With 807hp and 707ft-lbs of torque on tap, the range-topping Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat is already an incredibly potent and capable machine. Never satisfied with even the most impressive stock power figures, however, the team at Hennessey Performance Engineering has now bestowed its signature high-performance treatment upon Dodge’s SRT Widebody-spec Challenger Jailbreak with a series of new upgrade kits

Known as the HPE1000 Upgrade Kit, the American supercar builder and tuner’s latest offering sees the Challenger’s already-potent supercharged 6.2-liter V-8 treated to a host of upgrades including an up-specced supercharger system paired with an upgraded pulley, stainless steel long-tube headers, high-flow catalytic converters, high-performance high-flow fuel injectors, an HPE calibration upgrade, a high-flow air induction system, and a crankcase ventilation system. Professionally installed by the experts at Hennessey, these changes collectively allow the thoroughly-massaged forced-induction V8 to put down a whopping 1,000hp and a massive 948ft-lbs of torque.

In addition to the upgrades found under the hood, the HPE1K upgrade kit also sees the car’s exterior emblazoned with special Hennessey badging. What’s more, on top of being outfitted with a serialized engine bay plaque, each kit also comes backed by a 2-year or 24,000-mile warranty, up to 500 miles of professional road testing, and chassis dynamometer testing. Additionally, Hennessey is also producing other kits for Dodge’s high-end Challenger models including the HPE1000 Superstock kit and the HPE1000 Redeye — both of which are also good for an even 1,000hp and 948ft-lbs of torque. HPE is also offering the HPE900 kit that raises the donor’s power figures up to a still thoroughly impressive 900hp and 873ft-lbs of torque.

Pricing for the Hennessey Performance Engineering Dodge Challenger Hellcat HPE1000 Upgrade Kit — or any of the other Challenger kits — has yet to be revealed, though we anticipate an MSRP well into six-figure territory based on the donor car’s $86,835 starting price.
