Rimowa may be best known for its sleek and unmistakable aluminum luggage, but the label has been steadily expanding its output (especially in the last decade) to include more silhouettes and materials, as well as collaborating with some unlikely partners like they did with Supreme back in 2018. And when a brand has been in the scene as long as the legendary Rimowa (over 120 years), it’s safe to say they know a thing or two about getting it right. Now Rimowa has dropped the Signature collection, featuring the Signature Flap Backpack, the Signature Duffle Bag, and the Signature Sliding Tote, all made sustainably with ECONYL nylon.
The Signature Flap Backpack (6.1 gal) is constructed with ECONYL nylon, a sustainable and water-repellent material that’ll keep your gear dry and protected. It has two side zipper pockets, a 16” padded laptop pocket, and a leather bottom to keep it from jostling around on the floor. The Signature Duffle Bag (11.1 gal) is made with the same sustainable, water-resistant nylon and features an adjustable/removable webbing strap so you can personalize the fit. Lastly, the Signature Sliding Tote (9.5 gal) offers a sliding cord opening system for easy access to your stuff, with a travel strap designed to hook onto a suitcase for added convenience.
All three of these bags are made with care in Italy and come with a three-dimensional Rimowa monogram, two interior phone pockets, leather bottoms, a padded laptop pocket, and, of course, the ECONYL nylon. As companies shift to more sustainable means of production, it’s nice to see legends in their respective industries embrace the transition and use it as inspiration to create interesting new drops like this.
