Dubbed the New West Knifeworks Tactical Outdoor Chef Jack Carr Edition — or TOC — this tactical outdoor kitchen knife design features a beefy full-tang construction that’s been brought to life using Crucible Industries’ CPM S35VN powder metallurgy blade steel. Spanning 6.625” overall, the Jack Carr Edition TOC sports a swedge-equipped clip point blade that uses NWK’s proprietary Wavegrind serration process which is applied to this model’s unique asymmetrical Barracuda grind. Boasting a lanyard hole, the very bottom of the blade’s tang culminates in a squared-off design that allows it to double as a handle-end striker.
The Tactical Outdoor Chef Jack Carr Edition’s full-tang CPM construction has been sandwiched between a handle set made from a combination of layered G10 and rubber composite. Benefitting from SureTouch technology, the handle of the knife is also designed to be held normally for food prep, or carried in a reverse grip when being used for tactical or self-defense applications. Featuring New West Knifeworks’ usual top-notch craftsmanship and build quality, the TOC also ships with a leather sheath that utilizes the boutique brand’s MagnaKeep system.
