Maintaining a clean source of water on the go is often troublesome, most certainly when out on the open trail. And while bringing water with you when wilderness exploring is always preferable, it’s always a good idea to have some sort of filtration system on hand in case of emergencies. Knowing this, CamelBak — one of the leaders in outdoor hydration solutions — has teamed up with the portable water filtration experts at LifeStraw to deliver a brand-new collaboration. CamelBak is releasing their trademark Eddy bottles with LifeStraw’s top-notch filters alongside them as part of the first-ever CamelBak filtered by LifeStraw collection.
This sanitary addition already makes an evident difference upon first use, with LifeStraw filters being manufactured to double-filter your water in the prevention of drinking any form of bacteria or microplastics. As per usual, the signature bottle’s straw cap makes it all the more accessible to get a sip of water in without having to twist it off and worry about potential spillage. While both of these brands tend to gear their products toward a more adventurous audience, this joint effort should be on the radar of anyone who has been seeking a new reusable water bottle that ensures no need to second guess what you’re drinking.
The CamelBak Eddy + 20oz Filtered by Lifestraw costs $45, while the 32oz offering is available for a mere extra five dollars. There’s also a premium vacuum-insulated stainless steel version for $70, and a LifeStraw-powered version of CamelBak’s Crux 2L Reservoir rounds out the collection at $69. The entire CamelBak x LifeStraw collection is available now from CamelBak’s website, while the Eddy + 20 and 32oz bottles are available at Backcountry.
