The Basics

Made in America, the Benchmade Water Collection is comprised of six all-new knives that, as the collection’s name suggests, were designed to meet the needs of sailors, fisherman, and other individuals working in and on the water. In addition sporting profiles that make them more conducive to maritime applications, each of the half-dozen knives comprising the Water Collection come outfitted with blades forged in game-changing CPM MagnaCut. Additionally, each of the six Water Collection models also share Depth Blue-colored Grivoery or Santoprene handles, all of which sport lanyard holes and are designed to offer ample grip, even when wet.

The Fishcrafter

Starting with the largest knife in the Water Collection, we have the Benchmade Fishcrafter. Offered in 7.0” or 9.05” blade lengths — both of which sport a 0.09-inch-thickness — the Fishcrafter is based on Benchmade’s ultra-popular Meatcrafter knife, though the design has been modified with a skinnier trailing point profile in order to be more conducive to use on the water — in particular filleting. Utilizing a full-tang construction, both Fishcrafter variants come outfitted with Santoprene handles with integrated lanyard holes.

The Adira

The most unexpected member of Benchmade’s Water Collection is undoubtedly the all-new Adira. Measuring 9.0” overall, this maritime-focused folding knife is pieced together around a Grivory handle set with a unique grip pattern and one of Benchmade’s signature AXIS locks. Deployed via a thumb-stud, the Adira’s blade consists of a 0.114-inch-thick drop point item forged in CPM MagnaCut. A generously-sized thumb-ramp and jimping across the knife’s liner and blade spine base help to collectively afford a ton of control, even when wet. And, like many of Benchmade’s most popular folding knives, the Adira is also offered in a slightly-smaller Mini version that spans 7.46” overall.

Overall Length: 7.46” or 9.0”

Blade Steel: CPM MagnaCut
Blade Profile: Drop Point
Blade Thickness: 0.114”
Lock Type: AXIS
