If you told someone fifteen years ago that GMC would eventually start flexing its engineering prowess with electric Hummers, you’d likely get some stares. But here we are today with the manufacturer’s halo vehicle continuing its charge into EV territory – and now with some limited-edition options. The 2024 GMC Hummer EV Omega Editions of the Hummer EV pickup and SUV have just been announced. Based on the 3X trim of both vehicles’ respective predecessors, they will feature new and existing upgrades along with an exclusive color.
Exclusive but not elusive, the Neptune Blue Matte paint on the body is undeniably unique and complemented by the sleek black exterior badges, adding a touch of elegance to the overall design. Both versions also boast transparent Sky Panels, allowing for an immersive open-air experience. Furthermore, the Carbon Flash trim on the 18-inch wheels exudes a commanding presence on and off-road. The pickup variant goes the extra mile with Kicker’s MultiPro tailgate audio speaker system, while the SUV offers the convenience of a beadlock-mounted spare wheel and a spare tire cover in the Neptune blue color. Not to be overlooked, the Omega Edition also incorporates an exclusive high lux carpet flooring insert, adding some luxury to the interior.
If you want some edge to your luxury, fear not – both versions will include GMC’s Extreme Off-Road Package the company introduced in 2021 for its Hummer EV lineup. It comes with UltraVision using underbody cameras, added skid plates and rocker protection with built-in assist steps, and 35-inch Mud Terrain tires.
The starting price for the Hummer EV Omega Edition pickup with a 24-module battery is $149,995. The SUV variant, featuring a 20-module battery, will start at $139,995. Initially, the Omega Edition will be offered exclusively to customers who have reserved the 2024 Hummer EV 3X pickup and SUV models, but GMC will commence deliveries during the first half of 2024 for everyone else.
