Ford Marks the F-Series’ 75th Birthday with a Heritage Edition F-150

First introduced in 1948, the Ford F-Series now stands as America’s most popular pickup range, with the Blue Oval typically selling around 750,000 F-150 units annually. And with the 2023 model year marking the F-Series’ 75th anniversary, Ford has opted to commemorate the occasion via a limited run of Heritage Edition F-150s.

Taking inspiration from the 1970s and ’80s two-tone exterior schemes that adorned the eras’ F-150s, the new Heritage Edition comes cloaked in one of five dual-tone livery options. Available on XLT series F-150 trucks, these two-tone paint jobs were created as a modern interpretation of Ford’s classic A-B-A exterior paint pattern — a scheme that takes its name from the A color covering the roof and pillars, a B color for the midsection, and then finally the A color repeating on bumpers, lower door, and lower body.

These five new two-tone options are comprised of a Race Red midsection version with upper and lower Carbonized Gray details, an Atlas Blue midsection variant with upper and lower Agate Black elements, an Antimatter Blue midsection model with upper and lower Carbonized Gray accents, an Avalanche midsection-spec with upper and lower Agate Black trim, and an Area 51 midsection variant with upper and lower Agate Black pieces. Inside, the F-150 Heritage Edition sports a model-exclusive slate gray and black scheme, plus exclusive seat covers and a white “75 Years” logo located on the upper center windshield and on the display’s startup screen.

Pricing for the 2023 Ford F-150 Heritage Edition will be revealed in July when order banks for the LE model open. Production for the F-150 Heritage Edition is scheduled to begin later this Fall.
