Jawa Sprint Motorcycle by Urban Motor

In southern Germany exists the town of Leonberg, about 20 miles to the west Stuttgart in the state of Baden-Württemberg. Now while you may not think this has anything to do with motorcycles, think again. Leonberg is home to the annual Glemseck 101, a celebration of petrolheads and custom motorcycles, including some of the more interesting one-off designs from around the globe. Such is the case with this steampunk 350cc Jawa bike, a unique build one group of custom outfitters hope will make waves at this year’s event.

Based out of the nation’s capital of Berlin, Urban Motor plans to enter this strange two-wheeler into the Essenza sprint competition, most likely pitted up against a several BMWs and Triumphs outfitted within the two cylinder/1200cc maximum. Luckily for the Jawa, there’s a best-designed category alongside top speed. In building the bike, Urban Motor first stripped it of everything except the motor before building an entirely new chassis from steel. In fact, every aspect of this elegant ride is custom made making it all the more impressive. It sits atop two thin 23-inch alloy SM Pro rims, features a Jikov carburetor, a couple short exhausts, and weighs in at just under 200 pounds. The grips are also wrapped in leather and the forks and swingarm were painted matte gold. And while it certainly won’t break any speed records, we can bet this little steampunk bike will nevertheless be a showstopper.
