Tissot Adds a Smaller Case & an Automatic Chronograph to Its PRX Line of Watches

Although Tissot’s quartz-powered line of PRX timepieces only hit the market last year, it has quickly become one of the brand’s signature watches — not to mention one of the hottest in the world. And following the release of the automatic version later last year, the revered Swiss watchmaker is expanding the PRX line once again with eight exciting new iterations.

Kicking the collection off is what many enthusiasts have been clamoring for: a smaller PRX. The 40mm integrated bracelet sports watch has been shrunken down to a more wearable 35mm unisex style. Available only in quartz (for now), the 35mm PRX is available in five colors: silver, blue, green, light blue, and a fully PVD gold version with a gold-colored dial. Also seeing a minor update is the PRX Powermatic 80, which sees a pair of ultra-luxe versions with solid 18k rose gold fluted bezels with either a brown or blue sunray dial.

While these other additions play a major part in bolstering Tissot’s storied line, this latest collection’s standout model is undoubtedly the new 42mm PRX Automatic Chronograph. This stunning piece, arguably the most high-end in Tissot’s current catalog, is powered by a Valjoux A05 H3 movement, visible through the open case back. Available in a pair of classic dials, the PRX Automatic Chronograph comes to market in both a panda dial and a handsome blue reverse panda. Both dials boast applied Super-LumiNova-infilled indices and an intriguing vertically-brushed pattern.

Tissot has yet to announce any formal release dates or prices for these new PRX watches, with the exception of two gold-bezeled Powermatic 80 references, which are currently available for $1,850 from the brand’s website
