Sometimes, simplicity is all it takes to cement a legacy. For Heuer, its Carrera, which debuted in 1963, has become one of the most iconic chronographs in existence. It has a fixed inner bezel and a bicompax layout, and the dial has no numerals. When it first arrived, it was coded as a dress watch but was every bit a sporty timepiece, becoming a favorite of racing enthusiasts as well as casual collectors.

The layout and simplicity have lent themselves to several color iterations over the years. Today, TAG Heuer partners with Watches of Switzerland on a limited-edition version of the Carrera inspired by the panda dial Carreras popular in the ‘70s, such as the Ref. 1153 and the 2447SN.

The new watch sports a vintage aesthetic with a black chapter ring, off-white dial, and contrasting black totalizers at the 3 and the 9 spots. With 100m of water resistance, the 42mm stainless steel case holds an in-house caliber 02 automatic movement, visible through the caseback. You can also choose between a stainless steel band or a sportier black leather strap with perforated holes.

Limited to just 125 pieces of each style, the TAG Heuer Carrera Watches of Switzerland Exclusive with a panda dial is priced at either $6,350 or $6,450.
