In just a matter of a few years, RZE has gone from microbrand start-up to global favorite, amassing a loyal following due to the tough titanium construction and durability of its watches. With the upcoming release of the Resolute Supercompressor, the Singapore-based company has crafted not only its very first supercompressor, but the very first titanium genuine supercompressor watch on the market.
An upgrade of its flagship Resolute model, the Resolute Supercompressor takes the technology invented by Ervin Piquerez S.A. in the late 1950s and places it within RZE’s very own ULTRAHex Titanium case. Despite the 12mm thickness and the dual screw-down crown, the Supercompressor is lightweight and comfortable on your wrist when worn during the most rigorous adventures. Likewise, the spring-loaded backing of the case compresses and tightens the watch’s seal as the water atmosphere increases, upping the water resistance as you dive up to 200m.
The watch’s case is made up of solid grade 2 titanium with a bead-blasted finish and proprietary ULTRAHex coating that offers eight times the scratch resistance of stainless steel. But the Resolute Supercompressor isn’t the only Ace up RZE’s sleeve. The brand is releasing the watch alongside the new Resolute 2022, another improvement over its original field watch that boasts a slimmer 10.5mm case and is equipped with broader hands and a bold Explorer-style dial for better visibility. Both watches also have a generous helping of Swiss Super-LumiNova for a quick read under darker conditions.
The Resolute Supercompressor comes in four dial colors underneath its sapphire crystal — Kevlar Black, Glacier White, Sky Blue, and Medallion Yellow — while the Resolute 2022 comes in Arctic Grey, Forest Green, fully-lumed C3-White, Medallion Yellow, and Candy Pink. The Supercompressor and the Resolute 2022 are both available for pre-order on RZE’s online store for $599 and $399, respectively, with a release set for this summer.
