Since reviving the iconic ’60s dive watch in 2015, Oris has spent the better part of a decade perfecting the neo-vintage formula of the Divers Sixty-Five. To the point where now, the timepiece has become something of a modern classic.

As part of its 60th anniversary celebration this year Oris is infusing the chronograph version with some natural-inspired color with the new Ocean Green variant. Let’s take a look…

Neo-Vintage Done Right

The Divers Sixty-Five chronograph has always occupied an interesting space in the modern watch landscape. Unlike the oversized 43mm chronographs that dominated the early releases, this 40mm iteration, first introduced in 2023, strikes that sweet spot between vintage proportions and contemporary wearability. The Ocean Green version maintains everything that made the original compelling: the domed sapphire crystal that mimics vintage acrylic, those distinctive pump-style pushers, and the shield-shaped index at 12 o’clock that immediately signals its heritage.

The Divers Sixty-Five has never been the most capable diver but is one of our favorite desk divers. As such, you’ll also get the same 100m of water resistance and unidirectional diving bezel.

Not Too Much Color

What’s new here is the sophisticated color combination. The sunray silver-grey dial serves as a neutral canvas for the deep green subdials and matching aluminum bezel insert. Oris claims the green shade draws inspiration from both ocean depths and the forested hills surrounding their Hölstein factory. And honestly, it works better than you’d expect. The green isn’t too garish or “playful” but a nice middle ground for those wanting a dash of color without going overboard.

The Technical Foundation

Under the vintage-inspired facade sits the Oris Calibre 771 automatic, based on the reliable Sellita SW510 movement with 62 hours on tap. It powers the bi-compax layout that features the running seconds at 9 o’clock and a 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock.

Two Strap Options

Oris offers two strap options, including their sustainably-sourced Cervo Volante deer leather strap and a three-link steel bracelet. We love the vintage vibes of the leather but the bracelet might be the more versatile choice, despite some enthusiasts’ objections to the rivet aesthetic. And while we would’ve love to see this Ocean Green watch on a rubber strap option, there are a few available from Oris directly.
