Noah NY and Timex have teamed up for a third outing, and this time around, they’ve outdone themselves. Following up the Sun & Moon watch from 2024 and haunting Lighthouse model from earlier this year (both of which sold out right away, the Moon Phase might be the most luxury-coded model in the series so far. Offered in stunning gold-tone steel and raw stainless steel options, the Tank-inspired watch is a $200 dress watch with a complication found on timepieces often costing thousands of dollars.
Third Time’s a Charm
Housed in a 37mm x 25mm case, the moon phase complication remains the star of the show, tracking the lunar cycle over its complete 29.5-day journey. Where the Sun & Moon model felt like a compromise, merely coming off as a moonphase copycat, this time it’s the real deal. And because it doesn’t require the winding of an automatic caliber, you can actually count on its accuracy each time you strap it on.
Aside from the moonphase complication, the white dial also features a date window at the 6 spot. Roman numerals, a railroad minute track, and narrow arrow handset round out the vintage-inspired aesthetics.
To cut costs, Timex brings its reliable quartz movement to the party, housed behind mineral glass crystal with 50m of water resistance. The genuine leather strap features an embossed crocodile pattern that adds texture and class. While the gold-tone version features a lighter brown strap, the steel comes with a darker brown. The 18mm lug width keeps replacement strap options wide open, which matters for a watch you’ll actually want to wear regularly.
Brand Evolution
What’s fascinating about Noah’s watch program is how naturally it fits within Babenzien’s broader design philosophy. The same attention to detail and anti-hype approach that defines Noah’s clothing translates seamlessly to timepieces. While all three watches so far have been tangential to one another, we’d be curious to see what else they have in store beyond the rectangular shape category.
