When Brendon Babenzien left Supreme to launch Noah in 2015, he carried with him the memory of the Long Island lighthouses that guided ships safely to shore throughout his childhood. Now, a decade later, that same guiding light returns in his latest collaboration with Timex, offering a welcomed addition to the affordable watch market.
The Lighthouse Watch arrives as Noah’s second horological venture with Timex, following last year’s viral Sun & Moon model that sold out in minutes. But where that dress watch felt more like it was pulling inspiration from the Cartier Tank, this new release is less pastiche thanks to its personal touch.

Golden Inspiration
The most immediately striking element here isn’t the minimalist lighthouse graphic centered at six o’clock (though that’s certainly the raison d’être), but rather the elliptical case shape. At 31mm across by 35mm high, it’s a clear homage to the Patek Philippe Golden Ellipse. The 1970s icon brought a dress-style curvature to an era dominated by angular sports watches. Timex has translated this haute horology silhouette into something accessible, maintaining the same sense of sophistication.
Rather than actual gold, Noah and Timex have gone with gold-plated stainless steel for the case to cut costs. Reinforcing the vintage vibe, the domed mineral crystal also provides the extra durability that wouldn’t be achieved with sapphire.
Showing some real restraint, the white dial sticks with a simple two-hand function, and eschews hour markers for the sake of letting the lighthouse illustration stand front and center. The baton hands are also gold-tone to match the case, while small Noah NY and Timex branding are featured at the 3 and 6, respectively.

Coastal Heritage Meets Urban Sensibility
Babenzien’s approach to watches mirrors his overall design philosophy at Noah, by taking inspiration from personal history rather than following whatever’s trending. The lighthouse motif, in all its subtle blurriness, just so happens to be classy enough to avoid any kitsch. And the pencil-drawn color choices gives it some added versatility with your wardrobe.
Inside the case is a reliable quartz movement, further keeping things low-key while still benefitting from the caliber’s durability and low maintenance. Water resistance is a mere 30m, which is to be expected here. Meanwhile, a black leather strap with a crocodile pattern adorns the case with a gold-plated buckle.
