Known for its intuitively designed wallets and modular EDC accessories, DANGO may not be the first name that comes to mind when talking about rugged tool watches. Nonetheless, the California-based gear brand had people paying attention with the release of its first-ever timepieces back in 2019, which included the DV-01 diver, the CR-01 chronograph, and the TK-01 field watch. However, with its latest release of the DV-02 and GMT-01, DANGO has proven that the initial success was no fluke. Let’s get into these two new models.

First up is the GMT-01, the company’s first GMT watch, which features a fourth hand on the dial to track a second time zone. Powered by an automatic movement from Seiko, the GMT hand can be adjusted independently without disrupting the time. Perfect for the jet setter and frequent flier, the timepiece is housed in a 45mm 316L brushed stainless steel case with 200m of water resistance and sports the kind of versatility that DANGO is known for. This watch looks appropriate whether you’re traveling for vacation or sitting in an office, and comes with either a stainless steel bracelet or an Italian leather strap.

Updating the DV-01, the DV-02 is a sophisticated dive watch that blends vintage appeal with modern-day style. Also powered by a Seiko automatic movement, the timepiece features a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, a stylishly angled bezel, superb legibility on the dial with lumed hour markers and hands, and a whopping 300m of water resistance for even the most serious divers out there. Like the GMT, it’s housed in a 45mm stainless steel case and boasts a helium release valve, which releases trapped helium gas during decompression underwater. The watch also comes with a matching steel bracelet, but there’s an option for a sporty silicone strap as well.

Both the GMT-01 and DV-02 are available now from DANGO’s website starting at $450.
