Seeing as there is an endless amount of speakers to choose from nowadays, we understand how difficult it can be to choose. With that in mind, going with a household name is always a safe option, which is why Sony’s latest trio of X-series speakers is worth keeping in mind.
First and foremost, the SRS-XG300, XE300, and XE200 have garnered an IP67 rating, assuring that the new line can tackle household dust and moisture with ease. On top of that, each model has an Echo Cancelling microphone that makes phone calls or video chats a breeze. As far as sound is concerned, we’ll start with the XG300, which features a pair of Sony’s X-balanced speakers, two passive radiators, and two tweeters. These elements accentuate the gadgeteer’s proprietary Mega Bass, ClearAudio+, and Live Sound tech, the latter of which is capable of capturing the essence of your favorite live performances for as long as 25 hours. It even features synchronized illumination that brings your music to life.
Next in line is the XE300, an ergonomic, shockproof speaker built for anywhere. This streamlined option is powered by a pair of X-Balanced drivers, paving the way for an evenly-distributed soundscape. Lastly, the XR200 boasts a similar sonic prowess but is housed in a smaller design than the XE300, and features a notably shorter battery life of 16 hours, whereas the XE300 offers a full day’s worth of listening time. Conveniently enough, each speaker boasts quick charging capabilities, allowing you to get over an hour of music from a mere 10-minute charging session.
Living up to their reputation as great party speakers, each model in the revamped X-Series comes available in a variety of colors for some added flair. Sony’s latest array of X-series speakers is available to pre-order now, starting from $128 for the XE200.
