Based in the Netherlands, Playseat is a leading name in the racing and flight sim cockpit and seat space. And with Logitech G recently wading into more top-shelf territory with the release of the Logitech G PRO Racing Pedals and Steering Wheel, the company has caught the attention of Playseat, prompting the Dutch firm to link up with the tech company to produce a sim racing cockpit platform that’s compatible with Logitech G’s recent PRO Series wheel and pedal set.
Lightweight and incredibly modular, this sim rig platform has been dubbed the Playseat Trophy Logitech G Edition Sim Racing Seat. Benefitting from a unique patented design, this open cockpit setup boasts a lightweight high-carbon steel frame that’s been fortified via a powder-coated finish. Equipped with a separately-reclining backrest with fully adjustable lumbar support, the system also comes loaded with a plate, pedal plate, adjustment rod, and clamp that are all crafted from anodized aluminum. The sim racing cockpit’s racecar-inspired gaming chair has been upholstered in an amalgamation of 0.5” polyurethane leather and microfiber over Playseat’s proprietary ActiFit material — the latter of which conforms to the body while also dissipating heat buildup.
Bolting down to the chassis in order to be completely rigid and tolerance-free, the system’s pedal set and steering plates feature a unique movement that enables them to accommodate a myriad of different next-gen racing games and racing styles. Additionally, both the steering wheel and pedal set’s mounts are fully adjustable. Plus, not only does the entire cockpit weigh in at just 37lbs (not including any additional hardware or controllers), but the system was also designed to be placed on its side (with the back of the chair facing the ground), hugely minimizing its footprint and allowing for easy stowing when not in use.
Available now, the Playseat Trophy Logitech G Edition Sim Racing Seat has been priced at $599. Priced at $350 and $1,000, respectively, the Logitech G PRO Racing Pedals and Steering Wheel are sold separately.
