French camera maker Pixii has just unveiled its new flagship model, which looks to change the game entirely.
The aptly-dubbed Pixii Camera boasts a remarkable 64-bit processor, touted by the manufacturer as a “totally new experience” and “the first 64-bit camera in the world.” By fusing this processing power with the premium quality of a large CMOS sensor, Pixii has introduced an entirely new standard for software in the space. Moreover, the Pixii’s 26MP BSI CMOS sensor with a similar shutter speed to the original model (2 seconds to 1/32,000) paves the way for blisteringly high dynamic range and optimal, low-noise pixel design. This, operating alongside the mighty processor, allows creatives to capture photos using the new model at rapid-fire speeds.
In addition to its quad-core processor, it boasts a Hardware Upgrade service that allows you to make the most of your new device, be it upgrading the sensor, processor, or viewfinder. As far as the viewfinder is concerned, it is neighbored by a rangefinder with a maximum magnification of 0.67X. Moreover, the brand claims that its flagship device is practically future-proof, providing an impressive return on investment for photographers who aren’t willing to buy an entirely new camera just because their current one goes out of date. Compositionally, the camera looks as good as it functions, boasting a sleek, machined aluminum body in two colors — Space Gray or Matte Black.
The premium new camera is available on Pixii’s website in two colors, starting from €2,699 (~$2,832) for the 16GB model.
