OnePlus’ Revamped Smartphone Boasts Hasselblad’s Second-Gen Mobile Camera

In the realm of smartphones, there are only so many improvements left to make. We’ve truly seen it all when it comes to this space, and we’re at a point where one of the few features that continue to impress is a wide array of photo-capturing capabilities. As we’ve seen in the past, OnePlus knows how to harp on exactly that, and they’ve managed to outdo themselves by implementing a 2nd-generation Hasselblad mobile camera array on their updated flagship, the OnePlus 10 Pro.

While this is not the first time OnePlus has worked with the premier camera company, the brand somehow managed to up the ante this time around. Their 5G-enabled 10 Pro boasts a triple camera array that totals up to 48–megapixels, capable of taking photos in enriched 10-bit color and built to make use of Hasselblad’s revamped Pro Mode. Additionally, the gadgeteers at OnePlus boosted the phone’s internal battery from 4,500mAh to 5,000mAh and gave it a Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 powerplant under the hood. It’s abundantly clear that OnePlus is looking to compete with the likes of Apple’s pro-grade line of iPhones, arguably managing to blow the Silicon Valley manufacturers out of the water in some technical respects. The 10 Pro is easy on the eyes as well, with a construction boasting mirrored ceramic and frosted glass and two snazzy colorways in Volcanic Black and Emerald Forest colorways, both of which are inspired by the “rhythm of nature.”

OnePlus’ latest announcement surely has shutterbugs chomping at the bit, but they must remain patient for at least a few more months. While there’s no official pricing information yet for the new 10 Pro, the Chinese manufacturers say that it will go on sale in the Spring.
