In the world of home audio equipment, few brands can hold a candle to McIntosh, and its latest release proves that entirely. In its latest effort to bring the cinema experience to your living room, the manufacturer has shown off its MHT300 home theater receiver.
This premium receiver delivers anywhere between 120 and 150 watts of transcendent power to each speaker, enhancing your viewing experience whether you are watching the big fame or a primetime action flick. The MHT300 supports 8K and 4K video through 4 HDMI inputs and an HDMI output. And while it operates incredibly as a single unit, the expandable, modular device can be suited to your liking, as you can adjust its external amplifiers through a pair of output choices. Best of all, it features Dirac Live Room Correction tech to detect its surroundings and optimize acoustics.
In addition to refined quality across the board, significant features include the device’s Power Guard signal tech, which automatically prevents any overdrive or damage to your speakers, ensuring they’re well beyond built-to-last. On top of this signature prevention tech, it boasts a proprietary short-circuit protection system that assures the output stage will never reach unsafe operating levels, as it prevents any mishaps by automatically resetting. On top of that, the device is equipped with an FM tuner, reminding you that the radio isn’t going anywhere.
While there’s no specific date yet, the MHT300 will be available through authorized dealers starting in March for $8,000.
