LG’s Upcoming Pair of Lifestyle TVs Serve As Expressions of Form & Function

The Consumer Electronics Show has always served as an ideal introduction for countless home entertainment products. Whether it was Philips’ first-ever VCR or the dawn of the XBOX, the annual convention consistently provides worthwhile glimpses of what to expect in tech. This upcoming January, LG will take a big step forward with the full-on reveal of their new pair of Lifestyle TVs that look to seamlessly adhere to the contemporary home-based lifestyle: the Objet TV and StanbyME.

We’ll begin with the Objet, which serves as a piece of décor as much as it does a gorgeous 65″ OLED television with all the “smart” fix-ins. It can be hidden as you wish by way of a bevy of fabric covers from the design-centric Kvadrat. Moreover, this fabric cover can also cover a portion of your screen to display only what you need, like the forecast or what song is set to play next. Harping on the latter, the Objet boasts an internal 80W, 4.2-channel sound system, potentially rendering your smart soundbar obsolete. As far as the StanbyME is concerned, this 27″ LCD display-on-wheels is battery-powered and can last up to three hours without charging. While it can be rolled around wherever you wish, the touch screen interface can also be removed. With a plethora of streaming apps to choose from, users will also be able to mirror their other smart devices.

Sleek new reveals from LG are far from uncommon, but these are surely a pair of ideas that look to steal the show in Vegas this upcoming January. While no price has been revealed at this time, we can expect to hear more from them in 2022.
